Kachig graduated from the University of Sydney with a medical degree in 2004. He developed an interest in obstetrics while working at the Sandringham and Box Hill obstetric units, but ultimately chose a career in General Practice.
Kachig has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, as well as knowledge of the various treatment options. He received his Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) degree from the University of Queensland in 2015. He is a Skin Cancer Doctor who has been accredited by the Skin Cancer College Australasia.
